I have a few teachers that inspired me to finish school..*L*
And I have a few inspirations......that I have met thru my life of working with troubled teens...but I have a lil story i'll try to keep brief.

When I was 17......typical teenager I was at a party one night and got really drunk....I think I was slipped something but I cant prove anything.....Anyway I passed out.....and when I woke up an old boyfriend was sittin on the bed..telling me how he'd never seen me that wasted etc......I remember everything......I remember him leaning on me and me telling him to get the hell off......but I couldnt move..I felt like I couldnt lift my hand.......
I also knew what he was thinking and I knew if it happened ....That would be that....We had dated for a while nobody would of thought anything of it but me.......and I'm sure he thought it was Ok too....We were still friends and I'm certain he wouldnt of thought it was rape or even wrong to take advantage of me in that state.
Anyway just as this was happening.....A friend came in.......by the time I was sobbing and asking to go home..*L*......I had never been out of it before like that or ever again.....but this "friend"....and thats all he ever was to me.....kicked the Exboyfriend outta the room.....He stayed with me the whole night...held my head while I puked.......slept next to me and didnt touch me......Just protected me from anyone else touching me.......
I remember waking the next morning and seeing him sleeping next to me fully dressed...and recalling the night before and him telling me I'd be Ok that he'd stay there all night ......he wouldnt call my parents cause he knew I'd be in shit...

I'll never forget that .....I know for certain he saved me from what to me would of been a nightmare..Not because I hated the Exboyfriend but just because it would of been against my will......
I told him thanks....I doubt he even knew how much it meant to me that he did that..
he's married now with a few kids...I still see him once in a while when I go home.....Neither of us have ever mentioned that night again.

but it proves there really are some great guys in this world......and that night he was my hero...

btw chloe I know that wasnt the kinda "hero" you were referring too .....but something happened lately that made me think of that time in my life.......so he was the first person that came to mind when you said "hero".......

my hero isnt really a person as such but rather a thing.

its my music, its what can drown my surrows with me yet pick me up at the exact same time. it often lifts me up a little further. i dont know if that counts.

but also my dearest freind catherine for just the fact of knowing she will always be there if i ever am in desperate times [img]smile.gif[/img]
